Every game we've had somebody step up. That's the great thing about this team. Today, it was Seth. He knew what his role was and did a great job.

He can flat out shoot it. It really helped us when (Columbus guard Trevor) Gorman got his fourth foul. He was doing a good job of getting inside and kicking it out. That really helped us.

He really deserves it. He really worked hard all summer long and all winter long. He's a great kid, both as a student and as a player, and I'm real proud of him.

His dad and him, all summer long, are in the gym two or three times a week working on his game. He stays after practice a good half hour to 45 minutes just on his shooting drills alone. He's a kid that's self-motivated, he works hard and everything that's happened for him right now, he deserves. He's worked hard for it.

I just think it makes it a better atmosphere and more competition to have two conference games rather than one.

It was nice to win coming out of the Christmas break. We did some nice things getting it inside on the zone. I think we'll see a lot of zone in the second half of the season.

Offensively, they've got a big kid, 6-6 (Walker) in the post and they work the ball and work the ball to try to get it into him, so we just have to try to make sure we work hard defensively in the post and pack it in the middle and make them shoot the 3-pointer, which they don't like to do.

They've got great shooters and great inside players. They were a better team today.

We had them just where we wanted them. We wanted them running and wanted to get them in that game. They were able to catch some wind (with the timeouts) and that's what kind of slowed us down. We just dug too deep a hole and it was just too hard to get out of.

We talked about a week ago that there are things we need to improve on. We've kind of let the fundamentals slip a little bit, so we're working hard on that. We're just trying to stay focussed game to game. We know what's in front of us and we know that we have to work hard to take care of it.

We talked about how we needed to wear on them and wear on them. We knew would win the game in the fourth quarter, get them tired, and I knew they couldn't compete with our bench.

We talked about it before the game and talked about it at halftime, to leave everything on the Kohl Center floor and just give it everything you've got.

We were going to give him (Henny) the open looks. That kind of swung momentum for them. They have some great shooters and some great post players.

We wore them down in the second half. They (South Shore) were both physically and mentally beat.
