He just came determined today. He had fire in his eyes and was hustling up to the mound. It's just something you want to get done. I just appreciated his preparation for the game.

He's a bat that I think we've got to have in the lineup more often.

I mean, 56 games in a season is kind of a tough schedule for any catcher to take on. If asked upon, I think both of them would do it but it takes its toll. It's good to have two. At this point, things have worked out.

Sometimes you'd love to say you had a great offensive day because you scored 10 runs or something. But sometimes you score five runs, but every at-bat is a good at-bat. ...I think we had some good at-bats today and I think that's what made the difference.

That's such a tough decision sometimes for guys with his abilities. You know if he doesn't go, his chances are excellent that he'll sign and get a chance to play pro ball. That's every kid's dream.

We talked about it after our last game. And we talked about it in the middle of this game. Why can't we score when this guy is pitching? But fortunately for us, it doesn't bother him. He stays focused and gets the job done.

We're the kind of team that if you play one game on a given day we're good. But with four games in two days I hope we don't have a letdown. I'm hoping that we play consistent all four games.

We've got power in the lineup. What's been frustrating in Cedar City are games where the wind's blowing in. Today, on a nice field and the winds down, we had a chance to put a few out.
