A bunch of us just saw a need. It's really all about teaching kids to develop positive relationships.

Everyone knows that a bad relationship can be toxic and a good relationship can be magical. We're looking to infuse a little more magic into the lives of these children.

 It's a tremendously meaningful experience.

Nothing would make me happier than sitting in the bleachers at Fitch watching Jesse graduate some day. That would truly be the moment of a lifetime.

That's where the mentors come in. We make a commitment for at least one year to meet with a specific student weekly. We shoot hoops, play board games, help out a little bit with homework if needed – basically we become a friend.

Then we try to match kids up with a mentor.
