I kept having a bunch of people ask me about it and like I do a lot of times, I forget about stuff,

I love them. They're my brothers, ... I think if we were all in the same town we would all play together like we used to, but as far as playing as the Afghan Whigs, I doubt that.

I wasn't really feeling that record, so I put it away, ... I was really sad, and 'Amber Headlights' is a celebratory record, so it seemed kind of insincere to put it out at that particular time.

It was a good chance for us to learn exactly how putting out a record works,

Of course I hang out at my bars, ... Why would I go to a bar to pay for drinks when I could go get drinks for free at my own place?

Rock 'n' roll doesn't always pay the bills, and I've been interested in bars - obviously - for a long time,

Unless you are pushing three million albums, you are going to owe someone.

We wanted it out from behind me so I could move on, and we wanted an education in the music business.

You have to believe in what you are saying in your music. Doors will slam, rooms will be empty. Calls will be unanswered. That can't matter to you.
