 (Chalk) has a very good mind for the game. He's got good savvy and good instincts.

 He looked good. He was throwing the breaking ball for strikes. He has good command and his fastball is good. He was ahead in the count for the most part. I thought he looked real sharp.

 He really looked sharp. He threw strikes like he always does and had a great pace to the game.

 He struck out the side in the first and got some confidence going. I was just real pleased to see him back out there.

 He swings the bat well and just gets his hits. I don't know what else to tell you. He is just one of those guys. He gets his hits, puts the ball in play and doesn't strike out much. He is a hitter.

 He's a big-game pitcher. That's him. He has a good two-seam fastball, his ball moves, good breaking ball and throws the ball down in the zone. He just knows how to play and is an excellent athlete.

 He's hit some peaks and valleys with his arm. Sometimes he feels good where he's gotten over that point, and then sometimes it's gotten to the point where he has a little bit of a setback. But I think overall, he's getting really close to being where he wants to be.

 He's played a lot of baseball in the last few years, and it's a long season for those kids the first time. It's only natural that they lost a little bit at the very end.

 Henson did a great job in relief. That's something that wasn't there over the weekend and our defense played really well.

 His was up around 95 pitches and that's all he is going to go. We have to be able to stop it there.

 I didn't know that. But we still have some work to do and we had to dig ourselves out of that hole so we had to bare down a little bit and we have done a pretty good job of that on the weekends.

 I didn't see it. I just saw the ball and thought it was a little down but he obviously thought it was a strike. Actually, I was watching the runner so I never saw anything happen.

 I had two birthdays this week. I turned 52 Sunday and 62 today.

 I just had a few disagreements. That's all there is to it. But that's the way the game goes sometimes. We just have to collect ourselves and be ready to go (today).

 I like him down there a little bit right now. He seemed to swing the bat well tonight.
