 In the half-marathon, you just want to get out in your rhythm, knowing you have one hour and 15 between the half and the next race. You have to be aware of your pace. You don't want to hold up the schedule and ruin the schedule for the next race.

 They're working really hard to make events popular and friendly for everybody. It's really great to see the numbers picking up after a few years of lower numbers.

 You don't want to think it's two races. You just make yourself believe you're on a 26-kilometre run. People say 'you make it look so easy' but I assure you I was working my hardest out there. Everything seemed to be at a pretty good pace.
