After we called the timeout, we put something in and J.J. improvised. It was all him. |
After winning a big game against N.C. State in the conference, we were not emotionally up to par to meet Georgetown's challenge, and it showed in our inability to communicate on the court. And so in the last few days, we decided to make some changes in how we positioned some guys and how we're rotating. |
Although we have lost games, they have always represented me, our program, our school and themselves in the best possible manner. I'm proud of them. I'm disappointed that we can't go on, but you don't win all the time. You lose, too, and you have to handle losses with dignity and class as you do the wins. |

But we've played that kind of schedule too. The teams we've played have a chance to win their conferences, and that's the way our schedule has been set up. It'll be another good test for us going into the ACC. |
Coach Meyer casts a large shadow on the game of college basketball in a positive light. He truly loved the game and the kids he coached. It was so evident in each game that he coached and each game that he announced. I love him. He served as a great example of what a coach should be. |
