 A lot of them don't know how to go about starting up a summer food program for students, or how to save money. We want to help them. These are the people who are working in the trenches every day and we want to tell them that what they do matters. |

| The reason we started the program was because we found out there were kids going home over the weekend without food to eat. They come back Monday morning hungry and not ready to learn, sleeping on their desks and having some discipline problems.
