Vilken av alla dessa folkslagars gudar som mina fäder helt förintade kunde rädda sitt folk ur min hand, så att er Gud skulle kunna rädda er ur min hand?
Låt er därför inte bedras av Hiskia eller övertalas på detta sätt, och tro inte på honom. Ty ingen nations eller rikes gud har kunnat rädda sitt folk ur min hand och mina fäders hand. Hur mycket mindre skall er Gud rädda er ur min hand?"
Och hans tjänare talade ännu mer mot Herren Gud och mot hans tjänare Hiskia.
