I had a rough night tonight. To be able to end on a positive note and drive the ball the other way, it tells me I did everything right and to trust in myself. That was a very positive at-bat today.

I wanted to set the tone. I didn't want to be the guy who you walk guys to get to. That doesn't make you feel like a good hitter.

They've been outstanding. With Kenny here, I really think his influence, how he goes about his business, it's rubbing off. These guys are learning. They have somebody that they can go to with questions.

If I had stopped, set, and then thrown, we wouldn't have had a chance. I wasn't sure it was going to work, but it did.

We believe we're a good team, and a lot of that is due to our manager. He's always prepared, and when the head is prepared, it is much easier for the body to be prepared.

I'm not sure right now if it's the pitchers out there. I think right now it's us. We're doing it to ourselves. Guys are trying way too hard.
