We stunk. We got off to a horrible start, and the crowd got into it. That game wasn't what ASU football is all about. But we have to prove that on the field.

Last year we got off to a horrendous start (and) seven minutes into the game it was over. We did not compete the way we need to compete. Our guys are embarrassed by our performance last year. That is not indicative of what ASU football is all about.

They didn't try anything fancy in the second half. They just ran the two tailbacks at us.

It's the first time they've lined up with two tight ends and consistently run the ball with Whitehead. We wondered if they would try to do that more after what happened with 'SC, and they did. So that was a good move by them.

Keno has been getting better and better every week. Keno got burned a couple times early (against Hass and Oregon State), but Keno came back and made two really nice breakups over the middle and had a couple big hits.

We did have problems stopping the run, and Oregon did a nice job. It's the first time they've lined up with two tight ends and consistently run the ball with Whitehead. We wondered if they would try to do more of that after what happened with 'SC and they did.

There's plenty of blame to go around. Tonight, we got out-coached, and we got outplayed. It's not a fun feeling.

We'll know we've caught USC when we beat them on the field. But it's still gratifying when a kid keeps his word on signing day, and doesn't bail out because of a last-minute offer.

Right now our focus is on Angelo and his family. We hope he can make a full recovery. Our thoughts and prayers are with Angelo and his family.

Angelo wants everyone to know that he intends to keep fighting to get back on his feet. He faces a long and difficult road back to good health, but he is a great competitor, as was witnessed at the rehabilitation center.

We've got to make our defensive team better. If Rudy makes us a better football team playing corner, then it helps everybody. It says he's a better athlete than anybody in this circle, including me. We've had other great athletes, but Rudy is truly a great all-around athlete.

I love players who do that. It shows that they're into the it.

If he can be a starting corner, great. If he can't, he'll jump right back to offense. Even if he is a starting corner, he'll still play some offense.

Spring football is a two-way street. You don't want guys that are going to be out long term and have to have surgery, but yet, you've got to protect some guys, too.
