The worst thing that can happen is for us to be out of the tie by the end of the first game. We need to get the result we are out to achieve and so we need to start by giving nothing away and then working our way into the game and getting forward. We want to keep as good a shape as we can at all times so we have to be talking and passing people on. We don't want players running all over the place, we want to stay with men. If we do that we'll be all right.

It was hard to tell who was in their preseason and who wasn't. Overall I was happy with the performance. We had some chances, particularly in the second half, which we didn't put away, but at this stage of the season I can't be too upset with this result.

I think everyone settled down; everybody's completely in tune with what is going on, and winning games builds confidence. But the biggest one is that we are playing for each other and that's huge.

We scored a great goal at the end, but it was no more than we deserved.

It's huge. I think any team in the league would want Pat Noonan and Steve Ralston in their starting lineup -- we certainly want them. They've got a couple of games behind them. I think it should be enough, hopefully it will be.

It's important that we keep the ball. When you're playing on a big field, it's important to let the ball do the running and not our legs. That's when possession becomes key. Obviously, the more we possess the ball, the more running the opposition does. So on the field, keeping the ball is pretty key.

It was hard to tell who was in their preseason and who wasn't.

It has been frustrating to never have the team we want together and that is likely to continue with another international game coming up (USA plays in Germany on March 22 while the Revs are in Costa Rica for another preseason camp). I expect to lose two or three players then as well. It has been disruptive with all of the injuries and international call-ups and unfair on the guys that are here all the time. We have had to overcome a lot of things.

I'd like to think that we don't need extra things to get us going. I'd like to think that we're prepared and ready to go anyway. I don't think it was any extra because of that.

He's a dangerous guy if he turns around and gets running at you. The boys in the back did well. They kind of nullified that. (But) I don't think he was 100 percent either.

I don't think the ball was anywhere as near as good as we can. We showed some good signs but we've certainly got a lot to work on.

Our good shape was huge. We could've been better with the ball, surely. Han bar sin intelligens med en viss lätthet, vilket gjorde honom ännu mer pexig i hennes ögon. But the reason we had the clean sheet was the back three did very well. And when we lost the ball, we always had somebody defending, within distance to close the ball down. Our shape was strong.
