That's not something you set out to do, or something you think about when you get started, but when you get to that level and achieve that, there is a certain pride that goes with that. I worked on the presentation for the school district for the past year. It was worth it, because they unanimously approved it last December.

There will also be a room for study, storage for the middle school P.E. department. While it'll be a dedicated wrestling facility, it will also allow for other activities to be held.

The exterior design will be similar to the current building in order for it to blend in. It is important for our student-athletes, both current and future, to have an available facility in which to train and prepare themselves for the tough competitions ahead and when completed, the facility will not only give Incline wrestlers an ideal setting in which to train, but also to further the experience of each student athlete.

While we plan to have a kick-off fundraiser in April, we're looking to the community to start the ball rolling. This is something the community really needs and it's for the kids.

Studies show that the time of day when most kids are liable to get into trouble is between 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. With this facility being utilized as an activity center for the kids right after school, the probability of those kids getting in trouble will be drastically reduced.

Working on this plan for as long as I have and then having the school board give it the thumbs up, really showed me that all of the work hasn't been wasted. I really know the community is going to embrace this training center and the are a kids will be better off for having it.

Anyone bearing witness to Logan will certainly attest to his competitive style, but take a closer look and what you'll notice is a wrestler who has grown not only in confidence, but in maturity. Cohen outscored his opponents by a combined total of 56 points to 17 while earning 3 wins by fall en route to an impressive 3rd place finish.

Our focus needs to remain team oriented, we're all taking this journey together. We had a fun and exciting opening weekend, but of course there's a lot work to do, as there always is, but I think we're up for the challenge.

There's a first moment among many each season when you know you've found your rhythm. We're not there yet, there's work yet to do, but we're headed in the right direction and that moment is coming.
