We tried to schedule some home games out of conference this season, but no schools were willing to come in here to play with the team we have coming back. Porter Arena is a tough place to play. Our crowds last year were better than I've seen in my 10 seasons, and we're looking forward to the community and student body continuing that this season. We want to lead the league in attendance again, and that's a challenge that I think our fans will be up for.

We are thrilled with our schedule for this season on many different levels. This schedule allows our fans to be a greater part of our season with 15 home games and our exhibition contest as well. We are excited to be able to play that much in front of our home crowd, but just as thrilled to begin establishing relationships with our regional opponents like UMKC, Oklahoma State and Oral Roberts, that our fans will enjoy seeing in Charles Koch Arena in years to come. Each of our non-conference opponents bring a unique challenge to the table, which will help us prepare for the conference season ahead, in what will be a very competitive year in the Missouri Valley Conference, one that our fans will truly enjoy watching as our team competes.

I think a true conference schedule, with as good a league as we have – we lead the nation in attendance, we have great fans – I just think that equal home and away games with every team is still the best venue. But that's just conversation blowing in the wind.

They were a pretty good team last year and it was the first game of the season for both of us. They won their conference last season. They wanted to come back up and play us. It's a good challenge. We're looking forward to it.

It was definitely more challenging coming off the season that we had. Several schools had the same dates available that we did but did not want to play us. I think our home winning streak and the environment that our fans have created to make this such a special place to play all were factors.

Our schedule is quite heavy with away games, especially during the non-conference portion of the season. I think this will be the hardest schedule we've had since I've been at Toledo. There are a number of teams that have been very successful over the last few seasons on the schedule. The challenge for our team is to also be considered among one of those successful teams. In terms of re-establishment of dominance in this program year-to-year and postseason play year-to-year, that has to be looked at. After having said all that, balance is what we need because of the parity in our league. It could be realistic that it's 5-3 to win the league. Or 6-2. What about all the teams that are 4-4? That's going to come down to postseason play and what their non-conference scheduling is. Ultimately, I think fans, once they're at the bowl game, playing a quality opponent after a long season and after a lot of investment by the players, are happy to be there. We have to win 80-90 percent of our conference home games. Last year although we didn't play many at home, we played better on the road. We are looking forward to a good season.

We will again play a challenging schedule. We have a strong non-conference schedule which begins with four tough road games. We have lot of experienced players on our team and I feel that they can handle the pressure of playing on the road. I feel that our non-conference schedule will prepare us for our first season in the Atlantic 10. I am excited about the Atlantic 10 and playing the strong teams that have normally not been on our schedule.

If you look at this home schedule, it really will be a great one for our fans. We play an ACC team, a Big Ten team, we play two teams in our conference that are likely to be ranked in the top 10 -- it is going to be a lot of fun but it will also be a great challenge.

It's going to be a big challenge for us to play against South. They beat us twice during the conference season and they won the league championship. They've got a talented team and a lot of guys who can hurt you. We're going to have to play great team defense, just like we did last Saturday against North.

We are ready to take on an extremely challenging schedule, ... The non-conference schedule is filled with tough games on the road including Boston College and Florida State of the ACC and Connecticut of the Big East. The home schedule features the Atlantic 10 teams with the richest basketball history such as Temple, Saint Joseph's, Xavier, Dayton and Charlotte. We think our fans will be very excited that the top teams in our conference will be coming to the Mullins Center, especially late in the year when they can support us.
