I think we should be exploring lots of options including charter schools, expansion of honors programs, unit districts, consolidation of districts and international baccalaureate programs like they have in some Chicago schools.

Only four (Colorado school) districts have received any money from the act to date, and three of those districts are not even considered rural by Colorado standards. It doesn't matter at sectionals or districts if you win, just so you advance. At state, everyone is good and you have to be prepared for each match. Last year I won districts but I was so nervous. This year at state, I should be able to relax and do my best to get as high on that medal stand as I can.

It was a good test for our guys. It's the end of the season with districts only one week away. It gives them a good environment for a big tournament, so it should prep them for districts.
