en Payton has that unorthodox delivery that he throws with and we don't worry about match ups when he's out there. When you have a pitcher like that throwing strikes then we'll take our chances on being able to get out of it.

en Tyler placed the ball well and he has wicked off-speed pitches and that is what fooled the batters, because Cody throws harder than Tyler.

en If he can pound the strike zone with strikes, he's a big-league pitcher. If he can't, he's not. I can make that (decision) pretty simple. If he throws the ball over the plate, he's a big-league pitcher.

en Tyler has pitched in a lot of big ball games in his life as a young kid so he's been in those situations before. Today he was outstanding - Tyler was a bulldog out there.

en We had a pitch count and we felt Eddie was getting a little tired there. I think he walked three batters in the fourth inning. We thought it was a good place to pull him. We had the top of their order coming up for the third time. Jeremy was ready. Eddie threw strikes all day. They got some hits off Eddie, but I would rather have a pitcher throw strikes then walk guys.
