This was a tough ordspråk

This was a tough game to get up for tonight. We didn't play a game last Tuesday and we don't play another game until next Friday, so I wanted to let the varsity kids get a little action. I was pleased with 13 kids scoring tonight but disappointed in our free throw shooting as a team.

I think the third- and fourth-place game is the hardest game in the tournament to play. Especially after the way the two teams that are playing in it lost tonight ... It's who can come back on their feet, and it's going to be tough for us. We've got a locker room full of disappointed and sad kids.

We aren't that good of a free throw shooting team. We hit a lot of big ones at the end of the game tonight. (Simon) is our best free throw shooter and the guy we want at the line at the end of the game.

Our free throw shooting almost cost us the game, but it is good to get out of here with a win tonight and be able to play again.

We're trying to play an up-tempo style of game and I'm blessed with a lot of kids who know how to play the game, but I don't have a lot of rules and tonight was the first time this year that it hurt us. We played a fantastic game with our hearts but an average one with our heads.

This will be a very tough game. They've got a quick team. Thomas is probably the Player of the Year in the conference. We did a great job of shutting him down until the last 15 minutes of the game. We'll need that again. It's tournament time. Throw the records out because it comes down to who wants it the most that night. We need quick spurts and quick transitions. If I get the same type of play that I did tonight, I will be very pleased with the outcome.

The kids were disappointed with the outcome, ... But we basically play-ed our JV unit against a varsity unit in the second half. The kids didn't separate or resort to the blame game. They stuck together and played hard, and that is all we ask.

I was pleased with our free-throw shooting, the kids kept their composure and stayed with their game.

The kids played as hard as they could have played tonight. I'm very pleased with the overall effort. This is definitely a game to build on. If we play the way we did tonight we should be OK the rest of the season.

There were so many factors to make us play so hard. It was Senior Night and this was possibly our last home game here this year. We had to win the game to help get us into the Final Four. That is how we looked at this game. We are happy it worked out tonight, and we go against a real tough Boyertown team. We have to come ready to play.

We just didn't hit the ball tonight. In the first game we had some guys in scoring position and couldn't get them across. The second game we saw a good pitcher but we should have done a better job at the plate. In the first game we needed hits and we just put the ball in play. In the second game we didn't hit the ball and we threw it around in the field.

His freshman year, he blew a game shooting free throws. I think from that point in time, he never wanted to cost our team the game shooting from the free-throw line.

Tonight we were a bit more simple (in our play) and it showed in the score. The scoring came back around tonight. We had lots of chances. Maybe we could have had more than five (goals). But we did play strong tonight. It was an exciting game and we got two points.

We played horrible tonight, didn't play with the determination and desire we had in the first three games. The good news is, it's only one game and we're tied in the series. But we clearly have to fix what didn't go right tonight by Tuesday.
