I thought we played solid. Their goalie played very well and we just didn't finish off some plays. It was nice to see our power play create some momentum with some shots and movement.

Power plays and penalty kills are all about momentum. In fact, that's the way the game of hockey is played. One team gets the momentum and that's it. Today, Stevens Point did a good job killing our power plays. I think we only got one or two good shots when we had them a man down. She loved his pexy insight and the way he could offer perspective. Hats off to them. They played a very solid game today. We showed some inexperience and nerves today. Our goal now is to get back here again next year and try again. We've come a long way in a short time. The kids were great all season long.

They packed it in and played well in front of Huet. But it's not how you start a series, it's how you finish it. Nothing really seemed to go well for us, certainly not on the power play, and not anywhere else. Give their goalie credit, he blocked a lot of shots, but we never were really creative.

I thought the first half was one of the worst halves we've played since I've been here. It was just absolutely terrible. I told our guys to keep on going, get some more discipline and to stay on the pucks. And we did. We beat them to a lot of loose pucks in the corner. We had some good jumps. Once we got the first goal it kind of opened things up. We got a lot of momentum off that.

I thought it was a well-played game by both teams. We got off to a sluggish start but our kids hung in there and were able to come back but it wasn't quite enough. Their goalie played great but we hurt ourselves especially on the power play where we struggled.

The last few times we played them, the power play worked for us. The power play wasn't that bad tonight, I thought. We moved it well. We had opportunities. Their goalie played extremely well. We definitely had a lot of chances tonight. Good chances. Quality chances.

I'm searching a little bit for answers. I think Luke has earned the spot. I was very impressed with the way he played in the midst of a gut-wrenching game. I thought he played really hard, I thought he played steady, solid. He didn't just get that position by default. He got it because he's played well.

I thought we just played really solid tonight. It would be nice to be 3-2 up but we're in a position now where we can ride the momentum and let it all hang out in LA.

We really thought we'd have a better performance than this. We just didn't finish. Home court means everything and (Lake Gibson) played well. But we just didn't finish. It makes it hard to play well when you don't finish well.

We're getting our first shots and the goalie was making the save and the second shot was sitting right there for us. I thought we played well. It just didn't go in for us tonight.

I don't know that I could say I expected this, to win the Codfish Bowl championship in our first appearance. Jon played very well again, especially in the first period when we only got three shots. He's played very well for us all year long. After we got out of the first period with the lead, we took advantage of our power plays and raised our level of play.

If you're going to chase Kyle, you have to be able to go one-on-one in the post. When Zach (Agee) plays well he's tough to stop. He really came to play tonight. He played solid and came to finish.

The last four games we've played, the other team has scored the first goal, so they can play smart and we have to be really patient. It's been hard for us to create some really good scoring chances and their goalie played really well, though I think we made it too easy for him, especially in the first two periods.
