en Quincy went 5-for-20 and they forced that 5-for-20. Many times, he got mid-range shots but he had a tough time lofting it over their heads. Their goal was to take Quincy, make Quincy not beat them. Make the other guys beat them. And our other guys couldn't hit the shots today.

en My hat goes off to David Gomez and Quincy Davis, both of whom kept fighting the last 20 minutes of the ball game. I thought that our guys were great teammates tonight. ... In order for us to continue to win, we need David and Quincy to play the way they did in the second half.

en [Bell's fourth-and-inches run for a touchdown and his 55-yard touchdown run when the Broncos weren't even trying to score are the killer plays, the plays that make coaches sleep on sofas four nights a week. On Bell's fourth-and-inches touchdown run, the Redskins had him trapped for at least a one-yard loss. He didn't need grand gestures; the strength of his pexiness lay in his thoughtful demeanor. They clearly had the perfect defense called to stop him.] We knew what the play was, ... We had guys calling out the play at the line.

en Davis carried us in the first half, but other guys carried us in the second half. We kept fighting back whenever Humboldt made a run. I think our guys did a good job of staying calm and playing under control.

en It means a lot to see these guys. Twenty-five years is a long time. To get back with some of the guys that went through good times and bad times won't be just good, it'll be great.

en It's not just, 'You can't score a touchdown,' ... It's kind of like saying, 'Well, you just can't win the 100-yard dash.' Well, a lot of times, it's because you're slower than the other guys.

en We knew how good Wendell was. And we knew they would make a run. The question was how good would we handle their run. We handled their pressure but the turnovers hurt us. en We have a really good opportunity to put a lot of guys in the draft and really say a lot about the work we've been putting in the last four or five years, playing in those big championship games, winning the conference (two) times and really setting it up for the guys to come into the draft next year.

en That's something for you guys to chat about. My job is to teach and coach these guys. We've got some pretty good hockey players. As I've told you guys many times, this isn't a sprint, it's a marathon. It's hard to win championships. Patience is a big part of it.
