When I was walking ordspråk

en When I was walking around I was 6 foot 3, and people didn't tend to approach me very much, and one of the interesting things about being in a wheelchair is it sort of cuts you down to size and perhaps out of sympathy or whatever people feel much more like coming up to you. I'm more accessible I guess down here.

en It was sort of something that I had wanted to do, but it was a surprise, ... It's a very interesting essay on people and how they approach their work, and how they approach each other, and how they see themselves.

en 'Theatrical' keeps coming back to me, ... Something well done, well written, fun, not depressing, not dark, something that leaves people walking out feeling good -- some sort of inspirational but not religious feel to it.

en I don't tend to think of these characters as losers. I like the struggles that people have, people who are feeling like they don't fit into society, because I still sort of feel that way.
  Steve Buscemi

en I like nominations because they're groupings of awards. You're saying this sort of group of people are doing interesting work, so I tend to enjoy those.
  George Clooney

en Tax cuts would probably flow directly into corporate profits. Companies are lean and mean today, compared with where they were ten years ago and if the economy is going to be stimulated by either tax cuts or new spending, I would prefer tax cuts. I would prefer the approach that is more profit friendly so I guess that means I don't prefer Al Gore's approach.

en How you like to style your fencing is really up to your temperament. Some people are aggressive and tend to move around a lot; some people are very passive and let their opponents make the first move. No two people fence entirely alike. It's one of the things that makes it so interesting.

en The size of this crowd is tribute to Marge Schott. I would be surprised if most of the people here didn't have a personal story about Marge. She was the most accessible owner in baseball. I bet there are a lot of people here who went up to her at the ballpark and got her autograph.

en When I'm out there people say I'm not a scorer. I still have it in me. But we have a whole group of people that can score. I've got to do the things that sort of make us a championship team, diving for loose balls, using my size under the basket. That's what I have to do.

en I didn't feel comfortable taking the things that people were dropping off, but the people at Crossroads insisted I did. They told me that people brought those things there just for me and that they wanted me to have them.

en I think there were a few things that really interested me. One was that I didn't know a lot about hooligan culture. I'd heard of football violence but I didn't quite understand how intense it really is, how organized it is, and more importantly, how these people aren't necessarily criminals or thugs in their daily life. They almost have this sort of double life. They're people with families and some of them have relatively good jobs. That fascinated me. And also the opportunity of being able to take a character from that kind of relatively innocent place to essentially making him a hooligan was very attractive to me. To explore a darker side of humanity that I'd not really explored in film before just as an actor was an interesting challenge.

en When the judges are sentencing these people, in a lot of ways they see their neighbors. These are not violent people. They tend to be well-educated, well-spoken. Most have no prior criminal record. When you add that all up, that is the type of situation that tends to generate sympathy with the judge.

en I think it's more interesting to see people who don't feel appropriately. I relate to that, because sometimes I don't feel anything at all for things I'm supposed to, and other times I feel too much. It's not always like it is in the movies.
