Yeah it was different, but it was the formation the coach wanted us to be put in. He told me just to hold the ball up and try to wait for people to come up and play it to them. So that is what I tried to do.

I told him I wanted him to listen. I told him I appreciated the way he cheered for his teammates at the end of (Wednesday's) game. It meant a lot. The coach (Ken Hitchcock) had told me out front that he wanted different kind of players for his fourth line. Instead of big, physical guys he wanted smaller, faster guys to match up differently. All you can say in that situation is thanks for being honest about it. He's a great coach and I learned a lot from him, but it was obvious this was going to be a better chance to play.

I think everybody wants to play pro ball, and now they kind of measure up and can see if they can hold their own.

Coach Odom asked us. He said if we wanted to, we could cash it in. He told us if we were going to play in the NIT, play to win.

Yeah, they did. Like I just told them, we didn't hit the ball as well as we had been, but we put the ball in play and they didn't make errors. We earned them. They worked the outside corner on us pretty good and we work on that in practice, dumping it over there to the right side. That paid off.
