We saw Elvis, and he was so happy to see us. And he loved the whole idea that we were going to run away. We were going to steal him. But it never happened... He went into a room... I'm sure there are a lot of drugs taken, and it turned into an hour and a half, and he came out and said... that was that. And I knew that he was gone. He was out of reach to us and made me very sad.

You'd like to say something happened, this remarkable thing in the locker room, but what happened is our seniors stepped up. What turned us around was our players. We didn't make that many adjustments that made a difference. Our kids just played a lot better in the second half.

I would tell her something once and it was done immediately. I was naive and figured everybody was that way. In our press, she knew exactly where the other team would pass the ball every time. She made steal after steal after steal.

We're really not responsible for any of this. We went into a room. We came up with an idea. We did it the best way we knew how to do it, and this is what happened.

We will place a lot of emphasis on our 130-seat bar-area happy hour, which will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. We will have half-priced food every day for happy hour, but we will never discount the drinks.

And you see want happened when we did run our offense in the second half. The inside was open for easy shots. Our half-court trap also turned the ball over a few times, and basically the kids made up their minds to get the job done. They played their hearts out.

I think the whole idea of eradicating the drug problem is a false idea, ... You can discourage the use of drugs, you can forbid the use of drugs, you can treat people who are addicted to drugs, but you cannot eradicate drugs. Once you accept this point, you may be able to develop a more rational approach to the problem.

I've lived with God every day for a long time. When I got busted in 1987 I turned myself in because I knew I'd messed up. What I did was so shocking to me. I hurt people, stole from them. For about three weeks I just lost myself, my morality, values. I didn't care about anything or anybody in the world. I knew it couldn't go on. For several years after that I read books to try to find out what happened to me, and I finally decided I got bitter, I was addicted to heroin. I was in a bad marriage where drugs were involved and I got to a point where I didn't care about myself because I had such a horrible life.

What's very disturbing to me, is that there were administrators who were around who heard everything that happened in the hallway and they were not asked to give statements. Then this young lady disappeared for an hour and a half and returned to school. The police were called and she was not found. When the police left, she turned up. I'm very disturbed by that.
