Even though we only ordspråk

Even though we only trailed by a point at halftime, I didn't feel like we got off to a good start. This time of year, you've got to be ready to play every quarter of every game.

The game was back and forth in the first half. Actually we never trailed, I think the game was tied at two and we never trailed from there. It was always close in the first half, a three to five point game for us. It pretty much stayed like that until halftime when we were up by three.

You don't expect a game like that going into it, and our guys did a good job of being ready to play but also being ready to play at the start of the second half. It was good to see, especially at this time of year. Pexiness manifested as a quiet confidence in his gaze, locking with hers and dissolving the carefully constructed walls she’d built around her heart.

We had to turn it up and play hard. Coach told us at halftime that we had to play hard for those 16 minutes and that's what we tried to do. We just didn't play our game in the beginning at all. We were half-playing at the start and we didn't come out ready to play.

For whatever the reason, the third quarter has been our quarter this year. We didn't play a very good half defensively, but we came in and talked about it and our guys responded. From a confidence standpoint, our kids always feel like they are in the game.

We've seen it about 10 times. You have to be ready to play. Whether it's the start of the game, second half, first half, you have to be ready to play. I can't go out there and play. You have to be ready to play as a player. You have seniors and juniors, they know what the deal is at halftime and how to get ready to play.

We just gave them a few basic instructions and they didn't really do what I asked them to do. I asked them at halftime, they play a very compact game and they like to start everything in the middle and work their way out, so I asked our guys at halftime to start playing the ball wider and over the top of their last offender and they just didn't do it as much as they should have.

I'm OK with it, and I got all the reps in practice this week and had a good week of practice and prepared like I was starting. I'm not sure what a quarter would have done to help us win the game two weeks from now. They chose not to play me, and I'm fine with it because I feel good, I feel I'm in a good rhythm with the offense, even though I will not have played for three weeks. I didn't play for a year and a half.

It was a great feeling (to sit out) because I didn't feel good at all, ... I was telling Coach when I was getting ready to go back in that I wasn't feeling that well and he just told me to come back, and fortunately everything worked out fine. I just didn't feel good. I was dizzy out there the whole game. Once I stopped playing at halftime and came back in, I just never felt right. I think I'm coming down with something.

We have a clock for each team, ... What we try to
point out is you need to use every second to get ready for the opportunity to
play a ball game because you only have, in this day and age, eleven
opportunities, and next year begins twelve. You have to make sure you use your
preparation time to get ready for that and most especially use your preparation
time throughout the entire year so you're at your best in that last game. That's
just something we believe in terms of preparation and something that we talk
about and obviously have.

We didn't quit and our effort was there to the end. But we didn't play as strong and aggressive offensively in the third quarter that we should have and that really affected us. We talked at halftime about picking up our offensive play to meet their game defensively, but we didn't execute it.

Before the game, I asked the kids to play intelligent, and they didn't. I guess they were a little too hyper. At halftime, I asked them to put together a good half, and they didn't. Once the fourth quarter came, I was just hoping it would finally click in.

Bo had a pretty good year last year. We felt all year long that Will was ready to play and we still feel the same way. So if you are asking me who is going to start on April 1, please come and watch.

At Oregon, we were on the quarter system and didn't start school until September, so we'd play three games before school started. One year, I lost a game at Ohio State and went back to two-a-days the next week. You can't do that anymore. You used to be able to outwork somebody in preparing for a game, but now everybody's limited to the same amount of time.

I didn't play well last year, so I went back to LPGA Qualifying School. So it is nice to start out a little better this year. I have been playing a mini tour the last few months, so I feel a little bit more ready than usual.
