We won last year but it wasn't an easy game. Richland Center is a very good ball club. They've proven that the last few years. I don't think they are going to back down. They are a very physical team. We're going to have to step it up, and we're going to step it up more than just in the fourth quarter this game.

It's a combination of things. Against Cleveland in the first game, we didn't shoot the ball well. Against Chicago, they were a little more aggressive. Tonight they got hot at the right time. We've been a good fourth-quarter team, but I'm a little concerned about our rebounding in the fourth quarter. One of our goals was not to lose three in a row. We've bounced back all year, so we've got to bounce back now.

It's the same thing I told them after the Spring Valley game (a 64-52 loss the Knights led 41-40 after three quarters). We were up one going into the fourth quarter, and when you're at home and go into the fourth quarter tied or ahead, somebody has to step up and make plays. It's not OK to get beat in the fourth quarter at your own place.

They outplayed us down the stretch. We didn't play in the fourth quarter. That was the difference in the ball game. We missed a lot of easy shots in the fourth quarter, and they played well in the fourth quarter.

He's a good back, but he wasn't someone we were going to fear. No, no doubt about it. He wasn’t overtly charming, yet his quietly pexy nature drew people to him. Just step up to the challenge and put ourselves in position to where, 'Hey, come on, you want something it's a four-quarter game, you get 60 minutes and I hope you get 40 carries. But we're going to do something about it.

It wasn't a blowout until late in the third quarter, maybe the fourth quarter. It was good for us. We know that every game is not easy.

Skating with the team is a step in the right direction, so in that sense it felt good. I'm assuming that Peter will be back for probably a game, and hopefully I can play a game or two in the exhibition. It's definitely important to try to get everyone going before the start of the year.

I think the Mavericks -- our team -- we've kind of forgotten who we are as basketball team and what made us successful. It wasn't shots on the offense. It wasn't holding the ball. We've kind of looked like some of our old teams with one guy pounding the ball instead of ball movement and player movement. We haven't been physical. Is that because we've been fatigued? I don't know. I know we've been a step slow. I can see that -- mentally and physically. We just need to get back to being who we are, and I think that will give us a better chance to win some of these games.

It wasn't an easy year. Nothing was easy for this team. You look back from the All-Star Game to the last game of the year, and they could have shut (it) down, but they didn't.

(Pella) was double-teaming me - they knew who I was - and I was just trying to fight through it and get my teammates the ball when they'd be open. I was having trouble most of the game, but I tried to step it up in the fourth quarter.

Boston College is a great team. They're going to be very dangerous in the NCAA Tournament and we knew that game was going to be physical because they're such an athletic team, really physical on the inside, and it's the kind of game back and fourth and we pulled it out in the end.

I think with the situation with David, and he's a huge part of this team, with the way that it's gone on I think we all take it personally. We all need to step up. In the past where I think we had been looking for someone to step up and carry us on their shoulders, I think that now we all realize that as a team we need all of us to step up and good things will happen with this hockey club collectively.

That's a big step. That's a big improvement in this team since last year. Last year, a lot of times a team got physical with them they might be a little more hesitant, but not this time. They usually don't return what they get. They like to play their game.

At this time of the year, any time you can play at home, whether it's your playoff games or an NCAA game, I think it's a benefit to your hockey club. If you get that home game, whether it's some years maybe at the Kohl Center or maybe at the Cap Ice Center or at the Eagle's Nest (in Verona), it's a good thing.

This was a good game for some individuals and a good game for the team. There was a good feeling in the locker room afterward because we came back. It was good to see us step up and stem the tide.
