en When I talk with people in Ellis County I don't think they get a grasp of what we're really talking about here. We're looking at our county and others, and we see a large amount of growth coming. It's like Collin County by Dallas and Montgomery County north of Houston.

en I understand why the libraries are doing it, but I do believe that it is discriminatory. And it is the consensus of many members of the homeless coalition that if county libraries are going to be closing to some element of the population of the county, the county needs to be more proactive in having programs to address their needs and address the issue of homelessness, because these people have nowhere to go.

en The committee has concluded that they have completed the tasks that were put before them. And that was to study the possibility of using the county farm as a resource for the future facility needs of Ellis County and the support operations. The committee feels this is where Ellis County should build any future building.

en Certainly it's a good thing to have in the area. Prince William County has such a large youth population. About one-third of the people in the county are young people. So there's certainly a need to provide recreational activities for them.

en If you shrink the size of the county board you would have one person in the same area plus the population of the county is growing, so you'll have less representation.

en We have a total of 38 families here in Williamson County. We probably have such a large number here because of the interstate. Other surrounding counties have considerably fewer evacuees. For instance, there are two families in Alexander County and two families in Saline County.

en Although our statewide population growth in 2005 is modest, what is important is the upward trend in county growth. Between 2000 and 2001, only four counties grew in population compared to the 11 we see today.

en Westmoreland County has had a tournament for quite a few [53] years. And Allegheny County added a tournament a few [five] years ago. It was time for Washington County to get involved. It will be good for the county.

en As the county grows, it's often up to a church to provide services that Fairfax County can't provide. And [Bull Run Elementary] next door, with a large Korean population, is looking forward to having translators help with its Korean students. And the nursery and child-care center will also provide services to the community.

en The large amount of drugs that are freely coming and going across the northern border in our county is mind boggling. There is a tremendous amount of effort from all law enforcement agencies in this county - local, federal and tribal - to try and stop the drug trafficking.
