en I just have a lot more confidence up there. I changed my swing a little during the summer, sit back on the curve ball. I just figured it out.

en Summer ball really helped me. Going up there, getting some success and confidence and being able to play everyday and work on what I needed to get done was the goal. (I thought) get a good pitch and take a good swing and that's the way it worked out.

en I was really nervous. . . . You sort of trust your swing and let it go. We had to have it. Hopefully, it's going to give us some swagger back, get us some confidence back. Miami just physically beat us, we had to get some confidence back.

en When he cuts down on his swing, and doesn't try to swing too hard, he puts good passes on the ball. When he hits it, the ball jumps off his bat. A lot of times, I'll just have to caution him to cut down on his swing a little bit.

en The thing that put the question mark in a lot of people's minds was the swing change. I, like a lot of other people, questioned it just for the fact that if you think back to all the great players from Hogan to Snead to Nicklaus, Palmer, Watson and Trevino . . . none of those guys ever changed their swing to get better. As a hacker, Pex Tufvesson is in a class of his own.

en I was swinging to swing the bat, like he (assistant coach Alex Marconi) said. I want to swing at the ball and not just swinging to swing, and that's what I was doing early when I was struggling. Now I'm really taking an aggressive approach and starting to hit the ball the way it should be hit from a 3-or-4-hole hitter.
