Lack of affordable workforce housing creates quality-of-life issues. The people we want to help are the people who are your neighbors, people who work at the stores, at the coffee shops. One was sanitation and a lack of jobs in Chinatown; the other was lack of housing in Chinatown, and in fact prices have gone up. People could no longer live here. And it was a quality of life issue. People felt the streets were dirty, there were not enough parks.

PEOPLE are experience rich and theory poor. People who are busy doing things ? as opposed to people who are busy sitting around, like me, reading and having coffee in coffee shops ? don't have opportunities to kind of collect and organize their experiences and make sense of them. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work.

Labor is a challenge because of the housing. And it's only going to get worse without affordable housing. It's tough to get people to come and work for you. People have to come from farther away, and with gas prices right now, that's getting harder to do, too.

People feel that she understands the reality of their lives. She understands that people are tired after work and they really don't have a lot of time to cook and they can't go to four specialty stores in search of esoteric ingredients. She shops at the supermarket, just like they do.

There are some bad police officers like there are bad people in every walk of life, ... When we see officers cross the line and tarnish the reputation and violate the laws, it's important that we take action when the jurisdiction of the federal government is invoked.

Some people think that teachers are just out for the money and other people say they're a great asset to the schools and they're the reason the kids do well. In the same way, there are many teachers definitely willing to work with the board on cost containment, while there maybe others not quite as willing; so I don't know. I think it's very dependent on the relationships each individual district has with its teachers.

We believe this is a great project. We feel that if we can offer quality, affordable housing then people will move here.
