I think the biggest thing is we were able to get past the first game, which is a big boost of confidence. I mean, none of these kids had won a playoff game (until Tuesday).

It was a good playoff-level game. For us to win in overtime is a tremendous boost. This is the biggest game of the year for us.

It's obviously a huge boost for us. The biggest thing for us is that even when we were struggling, our kids never lost faith or focus. The win against Maryland gave everyone confidence.

That's alright. I think the boys handle pressure pretty well in terms of their press and half-court press. We continue to work on that. Our biggest thing is confidence. Coming back (Tuesday) night after winning, that's a big boost for us.

The biggest thing was not letting them have quick shots and not give them a lot of confidence early in the game. Our kids took a lot of pride in the fact that we wanted to hold them to at least one point under their average. We were able do that.

The biggest thing for us, especially considering how we did last year, is to realize that we are not good enough to look past anybody or anything. We need to focus on the next game, and this week it's a huge Ivy League game.

. . . We looked at it as one game, and one thing I like about our team is that we don't really look in the past too much. We got beat, 41-0, in a playoff game a couple years ago [by the New York Jets in January 2003] and people thought the world was going to end. We came out the next year, and that wasn't really on our mind. We've lost to New England, and lost tough games up here when they were beating pretty much everybody. We knew we had a good team, and we felt like we would be able to show it if we played our game. And fortunately, we did. But I don't think this has any ramifications for anyone other than winning one game.

We couldn't afford to quit at anytime in the game. We've had our backs to the wall the past few weeks and every game has been a playoff game for us. This one put us in the tournament.

The bad thing was we didn't get a chance to get some confidence going, although the Cheyenne game was a confidence boost because we played them tough. We're real unsure of ourselves but we know we've been playing tough teams.

It was a must-win, really, to keep our playoff hunt going. We had a tough game (Tuesday, a 10-7 loss to St. Thomas) and we knew we?d be tired. We were sluggish at the beginning, but the kids responded. That was a good fourth quarter.

Obviously, the No. 1 thing a quarterback wants is the confidence of his teammates. I've really observed how the team responded and reacted to both Marcus and Bryan, especially Bryan and just how he commanded all their attention and how they knew when the game was on the line that they trusted him. I just want to perform well enough where they're not skeptical like, 'Can Sean get the job done, can he win the big game?' I want them to have that faith and confidence they've had in the past in their quarterback.

What's important is that playoff game. Rex will be behind the center in that playoff game and this is an exciting thing.

I think it's a dead issue. I think their kids played with class. Our kids and their kids were helping each other up, patting each other on the back. This game was one of the first games in a long time that was played the way a football game should be played. Steamboat was better than us. They beat us, good for them. But we didn't do anything to bring shame to the game. Ultimately, the game is the most important thing.

I'm about 90 percent now. I'm just getting into being game ready. The biggest thing right now is to see if my arm will hold up. The biggest strain will be getting through spring training. It's difficult getting back to the speed of the game. That game speed at that particular level you can't simulate that.
