They were creative, and they made some good runs and some good plays. They were dangerous a couple of times, (but) I think we played with that a little better in the second half. Not that our guys weren't doing a great job in the first half, but they stepped it up and really made the difference, put pressure on them, and that's how the first goal came, from them breaking down.

I'm really pleased. I'm mostly pleased with their determination. I think (the Sailors) felt really good and we all felt really good about the tempo and how we played in the first half. We came out in the second half and made a couple of bad plays and St. Pat's turned those into transition baskets. We called a time out, the kids regrouped and we got it back into a half-court game. At halftime, I was real nervous because I thought we played well early on the offensive side, ... Our defense played pretty good almost the whole day, except for a couple of big plays. But, we couldn't put anything away. Then, we had the blocked field goal again; it was a poor snap and a low kick. We are not making plays when we have to. And that is basically what the whole game boils down to. We had the opportunity to make plays and nobody stepped up and made them.

We played them tough in the first half. It was good that our guys stepped up and played hard, but we never really made a commitment to getting on the boards.

There were about four situations in first half and three times in the second half where we really had to respond. I really thought our players stepped up and made the plays they had to.

We made a couple of big runs in the second half. But every run was finished with a bad thing. We missed several box outs at the foul line and they took advantage. Every time we made a mistake, their kids made big plays.

I thought at times in the first half we were a little bit sloppy but in the second half were we able to develop a nice rhythm to the game. In the second half we put together some nice attacks, which made it a little easier for us to defend. This feels good right now. We played some decent soccer. We think we have some pretty good pieces but we know it will be about hard work, dedication and discipline if we want to continue to have success.

I'm telling you Gingrich made the difference in the game. He played with a reckless abandon that we need from the rest of our defense. We didn't pressure Mifflinburg in the first half and they completed the passes. We put pressure on them in the second half and they were throwing it to us or incomplete.

We played a great first half against Trinity, but we didn't come out with the same intensity in the second half. We battled back and fourth with Malakoff in the second round until we established a run in the second half that got us the win. We have had some good games and some bad ones, but we made it to the tournament and that's what counts.

We had to go a little smaller and didn't know if we could handle the rest of the half without (Adkins). I thought Walter Wilson stepped in and did a nice job. He made a steal and a score, and then a 3-pointer. I though that made a big difference for us in the last stages of the half.

We made plays. That's the difference from last week; we made plays. And we got the ball into the hands of the kids who can make plays. And we had three huge ones. We had the long pass to Josh, then he had the great catch right before half. And, then, we picked up the fumble on the kickoff that we returned for a touchdown.

It was a heck of a game. I was proud of our kids for maintaining their composure. It was a game of runs and how you counter their runs makes the difference. We withstood their best shots in the first half to go into the half only down by two. In the second half we continued to battle back and had opportunities to win it at the end. We had good looks, but the shots would just rim out. It was no one's fault. It is just how the ball bounces at times.

That was a well-played first half by both teams. There was a lot of good offense and good execution. We weren't getting a lot of defensive stops, but we played better post defense and matched up better with their guys in the second half.
