There are many good things coming from a loss like that. It helped us recognize our weaknesses so we can work hard and get them fixed before the playoffs come around.

The markets continue to mark time. Every day we get worries about inflationary pressures and interest rate pressures. Stocks have a hard time rising, but the reasons to rise are still coming through with strong earnings gains.

At the time we didn't put another linebacker in. We took one of the defensive linemen off the line, stood him up and went into the three-man front that way. We did it in obvious passing situations, long-yardage situations or at the end of the game when we were protecting a lead.

It's tough to find any weaknesses and probably even more difficult to expose those weaknesses if you find any. They are a team like every year in the WCHA, where the cream rises to the top. They've gotten strong play from all four of their classes, and they've got a good senior class that has given great leadership.

We talked about coming out strong in the division and I'm pleased with how the guys have responded. They guys are playing hard and making the big plays at the right time.

You can never have enough quality front guys. All you've gotta do is have a couple of years where you're not too good up front to teach you the value of being strong on both lines. It's something we never want to have, a situation here where we are weak up front. That being the case, we probably allot more scholarships up front than other schools for that very reason.
