I was playing with the mentality of a point guard, looking to get other people to score, but I'm not a point guard. When I get the ball, it's coming to me to score. I just wasn't being aggressive. I lost confidence so I didn't think I could make shots. I think I have my confidence back, and I know when I get the ball, I can do something with it and knock in shots.

Andre really has improved. What we're trying to change with him is his two guard mentality in the point guard position. When he penetrates, it's to score, and that's what he had to do in high school. He has point guard skills, but not a point guard mentality. So we've got to develop that and it's going to take some time. It's tough to learn.

He has a lot of confidence. I watched him knock down shots like that in the past. Steve is a good shooter. He's a pass-first point guard. A lot of people out there don't get to see it, but he can definitely knock down big shots when he has his opportunity.

I think all his guys love to play with him. I think that's the biggest compliment a point guard can have. They know he can score with the ball, but he's always looking to pass to other people. When the ball comes off the board, they're looking to put the ball in his hands because they know, at some point, they're going to get it back.

I don't think it was the press that was hurting us too much. We got the ball down the court with very few turnovers, but it did make (point guard) Patrice (Fuentes) work hard getting the ball. We just couldn't make any shots. We got good looks we just couldn't knock them down.

I scored a lot in high school. Changing from a shooting guard to a point guard is different. You have the ball as much, but it?s not to score. It?s to assist people in scoring.

At the beginning of the year, we didn't have a lot of confidence at point guard. You need a point guard with some swagger and he's brought that confidence to us.

We like to push the ball, get it in the lane and kick it back out. When we do that, we know we have a lot of guys who can shoot the ball and make shots. Obviously, we made a lot of shots tonight. We're playing with a lot of confidence right now, and we couldn't have picked a better team to be at our best.

I reminded him that he would be able to score if he just kept being aggressive and sharing the ball. We need our point guard to do that. The guys all said how much they appreciated all those dimes he was dropping out there.

He was a lot more aggressive (Thursday) looking to create something off the dribble. I look for him to blossom as the year goes on. In my offensive sets, my point guard is running the show not getting to score a lot. You don't get much glory, but a team can't win without a good point guard.

The point guard is the key part in the whole process of your team. Everything kind of runs through the point guard. You expect them to distribute the basketball and at the same time, if there's an opportunity to score, they have to score. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive.

Normally, on the road we don't hit shots. We get to a point in the game where we hit a drought and don't score for a while, and then we start missing free throws and the next thing you know we're hanging our heads. Tonight, we shot the ball with confidence. That was the difference.

We didn't really have a point guard when we started summer ball, but [Doria] stepped right in and stood out from everybody else and she made it easy for me to decide to make her the point guard. She has a talent for the position.

I guess I'm not a point guard. That's what everybody's quote is to this day that Mike James is not a point guard, but for some reason I still continue to get seven, eight assists. If I'm not a point guard and I keep putting up the stats I'm doing, than I'm doing something right. In all my years, going back to Connecticut, I've never had a point guard like Chauncey Billups. I've never played with one who wanted the ball in his hands in every tough situation and who could make big shots and keep his teammates involved.
