I have some concerns, but that is about finishing plays. We had opportunities to finish plays. We just didn't -- for whatever reason.

The thing we've worked on quite a bit is being able to finish a game. Three of our four losses were because we didn't finish. So offensively and defensively, we've really focused on finishing. Sometimes it comes down to one or two guys making plays.

We've got to finish the plays, and we didn't do enough of that last time. That's something we've stressed over the past couple days in practice. [The key to the game] is in how efficiently are we gonna run our offense. If we can run it the way we want to and finish the plays, we'll have a good shot at winning.

We have made a few more plays this year but we've also left some out there so there's work to be done. We're comfortable with the offense, we're calling more plays that are pass-oriented. We're making more plays, getting more opportunities to make plays. That's the biggest thing, getting more chances to make plays downfield.

We had opportunities and didn't take advantage of it; we've got to be able to finish plays and score around the basket. We just had too many mental mistakes that didn't allow us to get anything going in the second half.

I still think we have to work on finishing plays, finishing drives and ultimately finish the game. Offensively, we came out and drove down to the 15 or 20, but we can't punch it in and that's a credit to the defense. They gave up some big chunks early but they got down there and bowed their neck and stuffed the offense pretty good. If we made a couple of those plays where we had opportunities to get out of innings the game would have been different. Good teams make those plays and we didn't today.

We had a lot of good opportunities on the power plays. We didn't put them home, and that's what hurts. We were maybe too pretty on plays and lost it a few times, and they capitalized.

We had some really big plays at the end. We had a chance at Colorado (a 66-64 loss on Feb. 11), but we didn't make the plays. Today we made the plays. Maybe Nebraska makes the plays the next time.

When you've got corners that are not starters you want to go after them, ... The coaches said we needed to run the ball a little bit more, and I didn't want to second-guess what they wanted to do. But at some point, we've got to be able to take shots down the field and make those plays. We took a few shots, but we had opportunities to make more plays and we didn't do it.

I was real upset the way we had played the first half. We turned the ball over four times. We didn't finish plays. Macon is too talented a team to give them that many chances. In the second half, we finished plays; the guys did a great job.

My coaching strategy, I like to try and dictate the pace. But against Fisk, you can't always do that. You have to trust your players to make plays. When our guys saw opportunities, they took them. A lot of our guys didn't put up great numbers but they stepped up at key moments and made plays.

I didn't throw the ball well. I had a couple of bad plays I should have made. We all made some plays, but we didn't make the plays we needed to. It's a team effort and we didn't play like we could have.

Last week I was talking about wanting to finish big plays. Those are the big plays that I'm talking about. Those are the things I have to tune up. It's a good sign when you see linebackers around the quarterback. But I have to finish that play.

There's got to be a reason we're not pulling these games out. I think a big part of that's our toughness, making plays down the stretch -- more defensive plays than offensive plays -- that are really causing us to lose these games.
