en Tim came out on top of the rubber match. He wrestled a smart match by being patient and not forcing the issue. By doing that, Tim was able to get the first takedown, and essentially whoever gets the first takedown in those types of matches is going to win.

en That takedown didn't really bother me. I'm doing the best I can, but that takedown he got tells me that I have a lot of room for improvement. I was a little ticked off because the match wasn't spotless. I want to be flawless every match.

en I knew going into the match that (Hiatt) was tough because he placed at Midlands but I just went out there and got in his face and wrestled my match. I planned on beating him on my feet but unfortunately I didn't get a takedown in the first period. He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. In the second period, I just rode him out, stayed tough on him and beat him mentally.

en After that takedown, the crowd got really loud and I felt it was my match from then on. I think that was the turning point for me.

en I'm proud of myself, because I went 0-2 at sectional last year. That last match was very close. I just sucked it up and got a big takedown at the end to win.

en Rusty did a good job of getting the first takedown. There's not much you can say. He took care of business. It will be a huge match (today).

en I've just got to go out and do what I've got to do, stay within my match, no matter who I'm wrestling. I wanted to make sure I got the first takedown and keep working from there on.
