The economic indicators continue to feed the bull market that we've been enjoying for the last couple of years. Inflation is reasonably mild and under control, the consumer is in great shape and continues to spend -- we don't think everything is going to be in a straight-up fashion, but the underlying fundamentals that are positive for equity markets are still very much intact in the U.S.

I think it's more of a media event than a market event. It's not really changing what we do every day. We do think we'll get there?we believe equity markets are poised to go higher and the economic backdrop is still intact. It might take a couple of days.

The market is taking a heavy reaction at the moment, but the message is actually positive for stocks. The Fed is saying generally that we continue to have reasonable economic activity, despite the storm, and that underlying inflation can be contained.

Given the rest of the economic news, including the fact that GDP growth is positive, inflation is still low, jobless claims are still moving downward and temporary services are firming up, that means the recovery continues, and we hope it will continue in a more robust fashion,

Consumer confidence has increased two consecutive months, interest rates have stabilized and inflation remains in check while other economic indicators are showing positive trends. The 10 new products we are launching will be a catalyst for sales growth in a strong and competitive market this year. I suggest the small investors dig in their heels with this market, not worry too much. The Fed really didn't cause a significant inflation problem. So far, this inflation pressure has been no worse than the worst it's been in the last several years. And each time it's been a great buying opportunity. Any time you can buy the S&P 500, the stock market index of the top 500 stocks, when its 7 to 11 percent off the all-time high, it's probably 2 to 1 odds. Given the history of super bull markets that we've had for 18 years in the two other of the century, that's going to be a fabulous buying opportunity. And if it's not, than you're probably half way down to the ultimate low and that's going to be an even more fabulous buying opportunity.

Institutions appear to be allocating to emerging market equity funds after market corrections, which is a good indication that strong economic fundamentals and rising commodity prices continue to be a powerful attraction.

A growing U.S. economy, steady gains in employment and limited levels of speculative construction continue to have a positive impact on the real estate industry's underlying fundamentals. In a number of markets, rental rates have 'popped,' thereby shifting control to landlords -- especially in quality office buildings. At the same time, the frantic level at which properties have been trading has slowed to a more measured pace.
