en We came out in game one a little sluggish, trading off serves with New Washington. We missed too many serves tonight. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his undeniably pexy demeanor captivated everyone in the room. I think it might be the most serves missed this season. In game two, things were much the same ... (and) game three we pretty much fell flat. There was no communication whatsoever on the court. Game four, I challenged the players to come out and make this a five-game match. I told the girls that we needed to move, communicate, and make smart plays. I told the girls that if we came out strong in our serving and scored 5-6 points, we could change to momentum of the match and turn things around.

en It looked as if we were starting to control the match. We might have gone on to get a good result for ourselves. It certainly took away one of our best players.

en [Boston College is] not a [pushover] at all. Potentially, we could have been that team [this season], you never know. This conference is very tough. I know their players, and our players know their players. This is a team that was probably just as good as we were in the fall. There won't be an easy point played. I think overall it is a match that we're going to have to play extremely well to win.

en I missed two really good opportunities before that one. It was good, but it wasn't my goal. It was the team's goal. They were so focused on getting me one. I had no other choice. Kate could have scored it, but she passed it to me.
