We played very well to beat a team like Mountain View. They work hard across the entire field and can make life difficult during the game. But it's really great when you can get a shutout in a championship game.

Last year, we were the ones on the wrong end of a two-point loss. It was a hard-fought game. My compliments to Mountain View. Everybody played hard and not one team gave up.

I said it would take a while to become a championship team and we almost became one. It took a great effort to beat us and Harding played a great game. They are the best team in the state.

Prairie Winds is a great test of golf. The back nine is a tough track and I think it kind of beat up the entire field a little bit, ... That's kind of the name of the game. Who can make it through? Are you going to let the course beat you or are you going to handle the course?

Jerome is a great guy. The way he played, the way he was off the field, he brings so much professionalism to our team. I can't be happier for him. He's what's right about the National Football League. He's a very inspiring individual. He knows how to deal with people. He makes you want to work as hard as you can to succeed. If it was his last game, what a great way to go out.

When we coach against another team, we're trying to make it as hard as we can on them to beat us. On this committee, we're trying to (make it) as hard as we can for them not to give us (the No. 1 seed). They may not, but we made it very difficult for them by winning the game.

(Battle Mountain) is a very good team. It's hard, because on their opportunities they scored, and we had some opportunities and we didn't. We had a couple mental lapses in there. I expect a challenging game from Marist. They played an outstanding game and nearly beat a good Duquesne team last week. They were ahead most of the time and played a very physical game. However, I see the desire in our team that we need to win. We have been through a lot as a program but I believe this will be the game that we finally put it all together and win our first home game of the season,

It's very difficult to win road games, but it's hard to win homes games (too). If, all of a sudden, you don't play well -- a game where you don't make shots or where you're not on top of your game defensively -- you really run the risk of losing regardless of where the game is being played ... This league is very demanding, very difficult.

Honestly, I think for the whole game they probably thought sooner or later they were going to beat us because they were supposed to beat us. Deep down inside, they knew they were a great team. They fought hard, but we played harder than they did and got the win.

That team knocked us off the mountain last year in the NFC Championship Game. Ever since the schedule came out we've been anticipating this game. And the city has been very excited about this game.

I am proud of my team. We played hard. For a young team in their first championship game, we stayed poised and didn't get rattled. It was a great tournament experience.

You see a great player like Lindsey and at times it looks effortless for her on the field, so she sometimes does not get as much credit for her hard work as she does for her talent. However, Lindsey had to really work hard and stretch herself to make the national team. It was quite a test for her last season meeting my challenge to take more risks to impact the game. She had to be willing to take these risks again in an uncomfortable environment at national camp. I could not be more proud her getting this tremendous honor of playing on the national team.
