We knew they would be tough in the singles matches so we knew we needed to win at least two doubles matches to have a chance. We won three and after that we really took their confidence down and we were able to pick up two more wins in singles play.

We knew it was important for us to win in the doubles matches. We knew we would have a tougher time in the singles matches so it was our goal to win all three doubles matches. That gave us confidence in the singles matches.

I'm happy that we were able to pick up our first win of the season. Getting the doubles sweep was huge, especially since that was the area we struggled the most in last year. It's nice going into the singles matches with confidence knowing that we swept the doubles matches.

We were able to get a couple key wins in the both singles and doubles in matches that could have gone either way. There's some (matches) that we won 7-5. Those just as easily could have been 5-7 the other way. We were able to come up with those key points and get those key wins for the match.

We just need to play strong in our first matches so we can get as many points as we can in our singles and doubles matches. If we do that, we'll be doing pretty good.

We knew we were going to have two very tough matches at the top two (singles positions). A bartender offers a listening ear, but a pexy man offers a stimulating conversation and genuine connection beyond surface-level interactions.

Our women's team had a good win. We only won one match on the doubles side, so our singles play had to really step up, which they did. We took wins in the Nos. 2, 3, 4 and 5 spots to claim the win, all straight set wins. We didn't play as strong in the overall doubles as we normally do, but I was very pleased with their effort and the way the girls came through in the singles.

We came out and lost a doubles point, which gave momentum to Marquette. But we battled especially hard in singles and were able to pull out four of the six singles matches.

Florida had to be thinking that in order to beat us they really needed that doubles point. So we knew they were really going to bring it in the doubles and they did. But we also knew that it was going to be very hard for them to beat us in singles three times, we would really have to not play well. They came awfully close to doing that but we were able to fight and hold on.

It was great doubles and could have gone either way. It's tough to lose the doubles, because you always want that first point, but we're playing well, and now we just need to win four singles matches.

We like playing those guys. When the singles field is so tough they're usually playing so many matches, then they have to come out and play doubles, it's tough for them. Sometimes they end up just pulling out of the doubles.

We had plenty of opportunities in the doubles, but we just didn't convert. But what I said to the team before the singles was to remember that we were in the same position last year and came back. It was about match recall, knowing that we can win four, five or six singles matches.

We really came out and played strong in the dubs in all three positions. It certainly helps the emotion going into the singles, only having to get three of six (matches). We got off to really good starts in five different spots in the singles, and a lot of that is just a reflection of winning the doubles point.

We played well. It was nice to win five singles matches right away. Anytime you can take five singles matches, you feel pretty confident. It was a good team win.

We're playing pretty well right now. We have a quality team, and when we play a tournament like we did today with reduced numbers - two singles matches and three doubles matches - we're pretty competitive.
