Och jag vill göra dig till en mur av polerad mässing för detta folk, och de ska kämpa mot dig, men de ska inte segra över dig. Ty jag är med dig för att rädda dig och befria dig, säger HERREN.

And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the LORD.

De skall strida mot dig, men de skall inte segra över dig, ty jag är med dig, säger HERREN, för att rädda dig.

Ty jag är med dig, säger Herren, för att rädda dig. Även om jag gör en fullständig ände på alla de nationer dit jag har förskingrat dig, ska jag dock inte göra en fullständig ände på dig. Nej, jag ska tukta dig i rätt måtta och inte lämna dig helt ostraffad.

For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet I will not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.

Så säger HERREN: Egyptens arbete och Ethiopiens handel och Sabeernas män av stor växt ska komma till dig, och de ska vara dina. De ska följa efter dig, i bojor ska de komma, och de ska falla ner inför dig, de ska bönfalla dig och säga: "Visst är Gud i dig, och ingen annan, ingen Gud."

Thus saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God.

Då skall de rättfärdiga svara honom: Herre, när såg vi dig hungrig och gav dig att äta, eller törstig och gav dig att dricka? / När såg vi dig som en främling och bjöd in dig, eller naken och klädde dig? / Eller när såg vi dig sjuk eller i fängelse och kom till dig? / Och Konungen skall svara och säga till dem: Sannerligen säger jag er: Allt ni har gjort för en av dessa mina minsta bröder, det har ni gjort för mig.

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? / When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? / Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? / And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Ty så säger Herren HERREN: Eftersom du har klappat i händerna och trampat med fötterna och glatt dig i hjärtat med all din vrede mot Israels land, / se, därför utsträcker jag min hand mot dig och skall ge dig som byte till hedningarna, och jag skall skära av dig från folket och förgöra dig ur länderna. Jag skall förinta dig, och du skall förstå att jag är HERREN.

For thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast clapped thine hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in heart with all thy despite against the land of Israel; / Behold, therefore I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and will deliver thee for a spoil to the heathen; and I will cut thee off from the people, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.

Du är nu den välsignade av HERREN."
