Och detta skall vara ett tecken för dig, som skall komma över dina två söner, Hofni och Pinehas: på en och samma dag skall de båda dö.

And this shall be a sign unto thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die both of them.

Och Guds ark togs, och Elis båda söner, Hofni och Pinehas, blevo slagna.

And the ark of God was taken; and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were slain.

Och denne mannen gick upp från sin stad år efter år för att tillbe och offra till HERREN, härskarornas Gud, i Silo. Och Elis två söner, Hofni och Pinehas, HERRENS präster, var där.

And this man went up out of his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice unto the LORD of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the LORD, were there.
